In this Privacy Policy, “Hometown,” “the Company,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to Hometown Ticketing, Inc. and its affiliates. Except where otherwise indicated, this Privacy Policy uses “Hometown” for consistency.
GENERAL PRIVACY POLICY (ALL USERS)
APPLICABILITY
This Privacy Policy describes how Hometown Ticketing, Inc. and its affiliates (collectively, “Hometown”) collect, use, disclose, and otherwise process personal information on the websites and apps (the “Sites”) where this Privacy Policy is posted, as well as through any other interactions with Hometown (collectively with the Sites, the “Services”). This Privacy Policy does not apply to Hometown’s processing of personal information in the context of an employment relationship.
This Privacy Policy also describes rights and choices that may be available under applicable privacy laws and the methods by which such rights may be exercised.
DATA PRIVACY COMMITMENT
At Hometown, safeguarding your privacy and data security is our top priority. Hometown maintains administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information.
Hometown does not sell user data to external platforms.

Data Retention
Hometown retains personal information as described in the “Data Retention” section below.
PERSONAL INFORMATION COLLECTED
Personal Information. Hometown collects personal information in various ways depending on how an individual uses the Sites and Services. The categories of personal information collected may include the following:
- Contact information. Hometown collects name and mailing address. Hometown also collects phone number and email address, and related consent information (such as opt-in or opt-out status).
- Fundraiser information. Hometown may collect personal information submitted by fundraisers and Site visitors that identifies or relates to an individual, including registration information (such as name, email address, postal address, telephone number, organization name, and campaign information).
For purposes of this Privacy Policy, the term “personal information” is used consistently.
- Account information. Hometown collects username and password and may collect email addresses associated with an account.
- Payment information. Hometown collects payment information if a purchase or donation is made, including credit or debit card numbers and security codes, as well as shipping and billing information. Payment card information is processed by a third-party payment processor, and Hometown does not store full payment card information. Hometown may retain limited payment-related information (such as payment type, last four digits, billing ZIP code, and transaction timestamps) for accounting, recordkeeping, and fraud prevention purposes.
- Information submitted. Hometown collects the content of communications, including communications submitted through customer support channels.
- Audio / Visual information. Hometown may collect audio and visual information when social media graphics solutions are used or content is provided to Hometown.Where permitted by law and where required with consent, Hometown may record customer service calls or video interactions for quality assurance, training, and dispute resolution.
- Job applicant information. Hometown collects information about education and work history, skills and qualifications, and the ability to perform a position in connection with job applications.
- Geolocation information. Hometown may collect approximate geolocation derived from IP address. Hometown may collect precise geolocation only if location-based permissions are enabled through device settings or affirmative consent is otherwise provided where required by law. Precise location collection may be disabled through device settings.
- Social media information. Hometown may collect information from social media platforms, including when content is followed, shared, or commented upon. Such information may be publicly accessible depending on privacy settings.
- Site and device information. Hometown collects IP address, MAC address, browser type, operating system, device-identifying information, device type, and related information. Hometown also collects information about pages viewed, the domain from which the Sites were accessed, and browsing behavior (including date/time of access, time spent, returns, and clickstream activity).This may include identifiers associated with cookies, pixels, SDKs, and similar technologies used for analytics and advertising.
California law requires disclosure of whether personal information is sold or shared for cross-context behavioral advertising. Hometown collects and may share site, browser, and device information (including cookie identifiers, device IDs, IP address, and browsing activity) for cross-context behavioral advertising and targeted advertising purposes. Preferences may be modified by visiting the Your Privacy Choices page, using the Cookie Preferences tool, or enabling the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal (where supported).
How Personal Information Is Used
Hometown uses personal information for the purposes described below and as otherwise permitted by law.
- Order fulfillment and to otherwise provide Services to you. Hometown uses personal information to fulfill ticket orders, fulfill donation and fundraising requests, process payments, and maintain accounts.
- Communicating with you. Hometown uses personal information to provide customer care via email, phone, video calls, and SMS; to send order and donation confirmations; to provide event and service-related updates; to provide notifications related to active requests or accounts; and to send technical notices, security alerts, and updates related to the Sites or Services. Hometown uses personal information to route inquiries to the appropriate department. If an individual applies for a job opportunity, Hometown uses personal information to respond.
- Improving products and platforms. Hometown uses personal information to improve the Sites and Services, including customizing content and design, improving products and user experience, and creating new services, including through artificial intelligence, machine learning, or other technologies.Where required by law, Hometown will provide additional notice and/or obtain consent for certain uses of automated processing or sensitive personal information.
- Marketing. Hometown uses personal information to provide updates and information about new Services, offers, features, and updates; to send newsletters and promotional materials; and for editorial and feedback purposes, including analyzing preferences, trends, and statistics. Hometown does not use SMS information for unsolicited marketing or promotional messages without separate, explicit consent.Hometown may use online identifiers and browsing activity to deliver targeted advertising. Individuals may opt out as described in the State Privacy Addendum below.
- SMS. Hometown uses mobile phone numbers and consent information to provide customer support, respond to inquiries, send service-related updates, and coordinate communications related to requests or accounts. Hometown may share SMS information with trusted service providers that help deliver and manage SMS messaging on Hometown’s behalf; such providers may use SMS information only to perform services for Hometown. Hometown does not sell or share SMS information for third-party marketing. Hometown retains SMS information only as long as necessary for operational and compliance purposes and uses reasonable measures to protect it.
- Protecting our company and constituents. Hometown uses personal information to protect the Company and customers, identify fraud, secure systems, and comply with applicable law, including responding to law enforcement or regulatory requests.
- Hometown uses all categories of personal information for other purposes as permitted by law or as otherwise disclosed at the time of collection.
Sensitive Information Collection and Use
Hometown does not use or disclose sensitive personal information (as defined under California law) for the purpose of inferring characteristics about an individual. Hometown does not otherwise use or disclose sensitive personal information except for purposes permitted by law.
Where required by law, Hometown will obtain affirmative consent prior to collecting or using sensitive personal information (including precise geolocation).
DATA RETENTION
Hometown retains personal information for as long as necessary or relevant for the practices described in this Privacy Policy and as required by law. Retention periods vary depending on the type of information and the purpose for which the information is collected. For example:
We retain personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, including to meet legal, accounting, or reporting requirements, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law.
- Account information: retained while the account is active and for up to 2 years thereafter
- Ticket purchases, donations, and transaction records: retained for up to 2 years for tax, accounting, dispute resolution, and fraud prevention purposes unless longer retention is required by tax or accounting laws
- Customer support communications (including SMS): retained for up to 2 years
- Device and cookie identifiers; online activity data: retained for up to 2 years, subject to Cookie Preferences and applicable law
- Job applicant information: retained for up to 2 years after the position closes, unless a longer retention period is required by law
HOW INFORMATION IS COLLECTED
Hometown collects information directly from individuals. Personal information is collected when an individual contacts Hometown about the Services or products, including when an account is created, an order is placed, a fundraiser is participated in, or communications occur via chat, email, or phone. Hometown collects information from social media platforms and in connection with job applications.
Hometown collects information passively. Personal information is collected through tracking tools over time and across different websites and apps. These tools include cookies and pixels. Hometown may use such technologies on the Sites and in emails that are sent. Third parties may also collect personal information in this manner.
Hometown collects information from other parties. Personal information may be collected from affiliates, third-party sites, marketing partners, and service providers, including payment processors, website support providers, communications vendors, and marketing support providers.
Cookie and tracking controls. Cookie preferences and opt-outs for targeted advertising may be managed through the Cookie Preferences tool and the Your Privacy Choices page. In jurisdictions where required, Hometown recognizes the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal or similar universal opt-out signals.
WHEN INFORMATION IS DISCLOSED
Hometown may disclose personal information to the following:
- Affiliates. Hometown discloses all categories of personal information to affiliates to manage daily operations and pursue business interests, including completing orders and processing payments.
- Cross-context behavioral advertising / targeted advertising. Hometown may disclose or share information described in the “Personal Information Collected” section with advertising and marketing partners for cross-context behavioral advertising and targeted advertising, including serving content based on interests and behaviors. Such disclosures may be considered “sharing” under California law. For the avoidance of doubt, donor payment card information and donation financial activity are not disclosed for cross-context behavioral advertising or targeted advertising purposes.
- Vendors and service providers. Hometown may disclose all categories of personal information to vendors and service providers that perform services on Hometown’s behalf, including data processing, payment processing, communications, web hosting, analytics, cloud storage, software, IT services, fraud prevention, and professional advisory services.
- Compliance with law or protection. Hometown may disclose personal information to respond to court orders, subpoenas, government agency requests, and to meet national security or law enforcement requirements. Hometown may also disclose information to investigate potential fraud or enforce policies and terms where there is a good-faith belief that disclosure is required.
- Successors. Personal information may be transferred to a successor in connection with a sale, merger, acquisition, or other disposition of all or part of Hometown’s business.
- Other disclosures. Hometown may disclose information for other reasons described at the time of collection or as otherwise permitted by law.
Additional information for residents of certain jurisdictions: Certain jurisdictions require disclosure of whether personal information is sold. Hometown does not sell personal information to third parties for monetary or other valuable consideration. Hometown does not sell personal information of minors under the age of 16 for monetary or other valuable consideration.
WE COMBINE INFORMATION
Hometown may combine personal information collected from different sources. Hometown may combine information collected across devices, including information collected on computers and mobile devices. Hometown may also combine information received from other parties with information already held.
SECURITY MEASURES
Hometown uses reasonable security measures as required by law. No method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is fully secure. Accordingly, Hometown cannot guarantee that use of the Sites or Services will be completely secure. Individuals are encouraged to exercise caution when using the Internet, including by not sharing account passwords.
INFORMATION STORAGE
Hometown stores personal information in the United States. If an individual resides outside of the United States and elects to use the Services, personal information may be transferred to and processed in the United States, which may not provide the same level of protection as the laws of the individual’s jurisdiction.
